Kagisho Ditira is a passionate advocate for exceptional guest experiences, recognizing the pivotal role that concierges and guest relations staff play in creating lasting memories for guests.

2003-2012

A Journey into Hospitality

From Humble Beginnings to a Life of Service in Concierge

When Kagisho Joined the Palazzo hotel in 2003 as a security guard he saw a desk on the left hand side at the Palazzo reception with a Concierge sign on it he got curious and asked what was their function at the hotel and after he got the information he made a promise to himself that is where he want to see himself working.

With Persistence comes Success

In 2007 Kagisho became a Porter at the Palazzo hotel, which to him it was one step closer to his goal and dream. One year later he got promoted to be a Door man at the Palazzo.

In March 2012, Kagisho’s dream became reality when he was promoted to be an Assistant Concierge serving Guest of the Palazzo.

The Start of The South African Concierge Forum

Kagisho joined Deon Prinsloo in co-organising the South African Concierge forum hosting annual Conferences in Durban, Cape Town, Garden Route and Johannesburg with additional educational days held Quarterly. Since joining the concierge forum and the may experiences he enjoyed, he often reminded himself of the boy from a dusty village in Vryburg which has never boarded a plane or even get anywhere near the airport, Kagisho now has managed to fly around the country all year round, organising the Concierge Forum conferences with Deon.

Inspired to serve guests with passion

With a vision to elevate the standard of hospitality, he has dedicated several years to building a thriving concierge forum in Johannesburg. Now, Kagisho has expanded this dynamic platform to serve the entire South African hospitality industry, fostering collaboration, innovation, and excellence nationwide.

Giving Back to the Community

When Kagisho is not serving guests, playing soccer, or spending time with his family, he is deeply involved in community outreach. He works tirelessly to support disadvantaged children in Johannesburg by collaborating with various orphanages. Kagisho collects essential items such as stationery, toiletries, and clothes, culminating in an annual Christmas Charity Drive. These donations are distributed to children in homes around Alexandra Township, creating lasting joy and hope for those in need.
