D&D Concierge Consultancy launches – first of its kind in SA
A spectacular event was held last week at Africlassic Rivonia River lodge where Deon Prinsloo and Kagisho Ditira launched and introduced their new company D&D Concierge Consultancy which is the first of its kind in South Africa. This has been a dream in the making for a few years and the two have a combined 53 years working experience within the guest relations arena. They have now joined forces to share their knowledge and expertise within the service industry.
Innovative Services for the Hospitality Industry
D&D Concierge Consultancy will offer Concierge and guest relations consulting, guest relations training, inspirational speaking and facilitating as well as continue hosting the South African Concierge Forum. Going forward they will expand on offering social media events partnering with Edith Venter promotions for hotel concierges as well as offering luxury property Concierge services. They have very recently hosted training sessions for Standard Bank, Hirsch’s and Pam Golding.

D&D Concierge Consultancy Motto is: “Inspire, Share and Shine” and the vision going forward is to inspire those in any areas relating to guest relations by sharing their many years of experience and help staff to shine and continually strive to improve guest experiences across any platform or industry.
Edith Venter’s Inspiring Message
Special guest speaker Edith Venter added much dazzle to the event and re-iterated the importance of doing something you are passionate about and following your dreams no matter what.
Founder Insights - Passion and Purpose
Prinsloo shared that for him the byproduct of pain is passion which results in discovering your purpose in life and will eventually be your legacy. The mind and heart are in constant conflict but one must learn to lean on your sixth sense and this leap of faith is exactly that plus a huge amount of passion.
Ditira shared that he has found that the service industry desperately wants and needs the hospitality personal touch. He touched on the issue of paying if forward.
The Growth of the SA Concierge Forum
Prinsloo and Ditira have become well known in hosting the annual Concierge Conferences around the country. These conferences are a result of the Concierge Forum which was founded in 2010 aimed at Guest Relations Managers and Concierges from 4 and 5 star hotels and guest houses in South Africa.
Deon Prinsloo has over 38 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, and was the Guest Relations Manager and Head Concierge at The Palazzo Hotel in Johannesburg. Prinsloo also holds the much-coveted Golden Keys – one of 15 South African members of the Society of the Golden Keys of Great Britain and the Commonwealth. Les Clefs d’Or as is it commonly known as the Golden Keys.
The South African Concierge Forum
What began as a small gathering of dedicated hotel Concierges and Guest Relations Managers, The South African Concierge Forum this year celebrates 10 years since it was established in 2010 by founders and organisers, Deon Prinsloo and Kagisho Ditira.
Expanding Conferences Across South Africa
Over the years these concierge conferences have grown exponentially with attendees from all over the country. This year will also be the first conference to be held in Mpumalanga on 4 September 2024. Durban will take place on 9 September, Cape Town 18 September and Johannesburg 25 September. These annual conferences will continue to take place under the banner of D&D Concierge Consultancy.
